Well, Saturday was the day. Matt's grandpa was a little apprehensive at first about going for ride because he thought it would be too much work to get in and out of the boat, but after getting all the way down the hill to the boathouse, he finally conceded. After their 30 minute ride, Grandpa's comment was "Well, that was nice."
Later in the afternoon, and what felt like the hottest part of the day, Arrott and joined Matt for a ride. I swear, infant life jackets look like the most uncomfortable thing ever, but I guess you sacrifice fashion for safety. After stuffing Arrott in, we headed out for a short ride. As uncomfortable as Arrott looked, he really seemed to enjoy the ride. Kudos to Matt for being the best grandson and father I could ask for. Here are some pics for your viewing pleasure.

And on a completely different topic, here is a before picture of my latest project. I wouldn't check back for an after picture for at least 4 months! ;)
Matt should be so proud of himself. What a wonderful memory to create and to get his g-pa out on the water in his prize. Arrott does look very hot but happy in the photos.
ReplyDeleteI love boats so take a few of the Chris Craft for me.
Can't wait to see the finished star trek chair.
