Happy 2012!!

Well, obviously my new years resolution was not blogging more frequently. I guess when a little someone became very mobile, blogging simply moved down the list of priorities.

Things have been fairly quiet here in casa de Truschel for the first quarter of 2012.  We have had a few play dates to the Discovery Museum in Charlottesville and Toddlin' Time in Warrenton but nothing major to report on.  We are planning a weekend trip to Canaan Valley this weekend with 4 of our good friends as well as one of the couples' 13 month old son.  We are so nervous about Arrott not sleeping that we're taking his crib with us.  GASP!  I know, what are we thinking?  Well, what we're thinking about is sleep and getting some.

We haven't completed any crazy renovation projects, but boy are we gearing up for the spring.  I don't want to write it all out because that may be a little depressing, but let's just say we may be moving downstairs.

To wrap up this little blog post to simply let you know we're alive, here are some pictures.  Sadly, most of these are taken on my phone.

We should really replace the pantry curtain with a door.

First finger painting experience.

He loved playing with cousin Aidan's light saver (is that even right?).

Snuggling with Uncle Ian.

Papa and Grandma Lacks met us in Farmville one day so I could sofa hunt. Papa Lacks was not letting Arrott off of the bench "on his watch."

He hadn't yet realized he could leave the patio.

He loves his baths.

He also loves running around naked after his baths.  No, he wasn't riding a horse all day. :)

He wasn't quite in love with his tool belt.

At the Discovery Museum.

The sweetest little boy gave Arrott his balloon outside of the grocery store.  It entertained him the entire ride back to Culpeper.

I'd say he doesn't really know how to relax.  Wouldn't you?

Running outside of a job with his dad and Grandpa Truschel.

Eating lunch with Grandma Truschel.  This was my little table when I was little which was also my older brother and sister's table.  I won't give away my sister's age, but let's just say this table is almost 50 years old. ;)

Shooting some hoops at Toddlin' Time.

Grunge Arrott

Waving goodbye to me as I head to the airport for work.  There were definitely some tears shed.

Playing with Edie at our Bradley Reunion (birthing class).

The little prince was so proud of himself for getting in the chair all by himself.

Arrott's new hiding spot.

His first ride in one of the hugely annoying carts at Home Depot.  The things you do....
