Weekend Update

One of my great friends from home, Amy, had her sweet baby girl on June 17th, so Arrott and I loaded up the car and headed south to pay "little" Emi Claire a short visit.   I use quotations since Emi made her appearance into the world at a healthy 9 lbs. 13 oz. and 21.5 inches long.  We thought Arrott was big!!  Although I love this picture, it just does not do justice to how amazingly beautiful she is.  She is a doll baby.

Saturday, we headed back home to make it to dinner at Matt's parents' house.  Eric, Matt's youngest brother, was in for the weekend from Louisiana.  Having all of the brothers together under one roof is a rarity these days but always lends to lots of gut laughs.  Unfortunately, these gut laughs were at their brushes with the law.  Nooooo, no one is an x-con!!

Today, sadly, marks the passing of Matt's cousin and friend, Ryan.  So that no one was sitting at home alone, many of Truschel family and friends gathered over hot dogs and hamburgers at Ryan's brother and sister-in-law's new house.  It really was a great afternoon.
